Today I’m going to talk about hypnosis for weight loss. I’m going to say something that I just need to say. I think that beautiful bodies come in all shapes and sizes. If you’re coming in for hypnosis for weight loss because you’re having some health problems going on, like your cholesterol is really high or your blood sugar is starting to climb and it’s important to you to drop some of the weight to get your body healthier, I am all for that. Yes, let’s do the hypnosis to support healthy changes in your body, to support healthy eating habits and healthy exercise habits and all of that.

On the flip side of that is sometimes people want to come in just because they don’t like the way they look. For that, I really suggest let’s do hypnosis to be supportive about acceptance, about self-acceptance and about seeing yourself as beautiful both from the inside and the outside. If you have no health problems going on and you’re just going for a certain aesthetic, like a certain body size, then let’s work on body acceptance here because people come in all different shapes and sizes. That aesthetic changes through the ages, what was considered beautiful 50 years ago or 100 ago is not the same as it is now. We’re a thin obsessed culture right now, and that I see as a problem more so that anybody’s body weight, considering no health problems going on.

There’s a book written a couple years ago about that heavier body weight is actually healthier if you’re not yoyo-ing, if you’re not going up and down, if you’re maintaining that body weight, than someone who’s going up and down, and up and down, and up and down. ┬áLet’s keep that in mind. Let’s keep in mind that there’s beautiful, beautiful bodies in all shapes and sizes. That beauty really comes from the inside and who somebody is. I truly believe that. Let’s do hypnosis to support that. Let’s do hypnosis to feeling beautiful no matter what shape and size you are.

I know this is probably not what you expected today on a hypnosis or weight loss video but it’s something that I needed to say.
